The latest rankings of the best workplaces in Hungary shed light on what makes these employers stand out. The list is based entirely on real employee feedback. Beyond the rankings, a recent survey reveals that Hungarian workers value not only competitive salaries but also positive work environments and flexible schedules.
The best workplaces in Hungary
Haszon.hu writes that the latest Top Employers Hungary list, compiled by Munkahelyeink.hu, reveals the best workplaces in Hungary as rated by employees. Leading the rankings are a medical device company, the country’s second-largest mobile phone operator, and a premium car manufacturer. Now in its fourth edition this year, the list is based entirely on real employee feedback, offering a unique insight into what makes these companies desirable employers.
The ranking methodology places significant weight on employee satisfaction, with 70% of the overall score derived from this metric and the remaining 30% based on five key criteria: pay and benefits, development opportunities, work-life balance, management, and company culture. To qualify, companies must have at least 30 employee reviews, and this latest list reflects feedback collected between 31 October and 16 November 2024. Work-life balance
Work-life balance is another cornerstone of the best workplaces in Hungary, as employees emphasize the importance of predictable and flexible working hours. While 54% of respondents prefer fixed schedules, only 34% have them. Flexibility is equally valued, with 43% seeking adaptable hours to support a better balance between work and personal life, and 39% reporting that their employers provide this. Moreover, 32% appreciate the flexibility to attend to personal matters during work hours, showing a growing emphasis on understanding employees’ needs.
