EPAM India Added 2,000 Hands in 10 months: CFO Peterson
US IT engineering services provider EPAM Systems hired more than 2,000 employees in India so far this calendar year, expanding the local workforce to more than 9,000, said a senior executive.
Jason Peterson, chief financial officer, senior vice president and treasurer, EPAM, told ET the company's employee strength in India will reach the 10,000 mark by early 2025, reflecting a tenfold surge in its India headcount in a decade. EPAM entered the Indian market through the acquisition of Alliance Global Services in 2015. At the time, Alliance Global had about 1,000 people in Hyderabad. EPAM India currently has centers in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune and Gurugram. As per its 2023 annual report, EPAM India had 7,050 employees as of December-end.
