With the rise of Generative AI (GenAI) in 2024, Altera turned to EPAM to implement DIAL, our AI orchestration platform. Altera increased efficiency and cut costs by building custom assistants, simplifying daily tasks and developing bespoke applications.

Harnessing AI to Achieve Business Goals

As part of Harris Healthcare's network of over 200 healthcare companies, Altera Digital Health inherited several complex legacy systems and tech stacks that were in need of modernization. Buried within those stacks were the details of key contracts with vendors, containing pertinent information regarding pricing and escalation causes that the company needed to understand, often on short notice. Altera knew it needed to harness the power of AI not only to enhance its systems but also to gain a competitive edge.

To help Altera achieve its goals, EPAM worked with the leading healthcare IT provider to implement and customize DIAL, our AI orchestration platform, for its specific needs.

By implementing DIAL, the client gained access to a secure, scalable and customizable enterprise-grade AI system, tailored to its unique needs. Our team partnered with Altera to deploy DIAL across the business to enable efficiency and boost productivity company-wide. Further, EPAM worked with Altera to create two custom solutions: 1) a Code Assistant Agent, to help manage the complexities of its technology landscape and 2) a Paralegal Assistant Agent, to help Altera manage its complex systems and contracts. EPAM then worked with a group of Altera’s software developers to train them on how to create custom applications for DIAL using Python.

The Future of Altera + DIAL

The company continues to work with EPAM to customize DIAL for a variety of needs. In the future, the team plans to build a Talent Acquisition Agent that would sort and rank job applicants based on how their qualifications align with the specific needs of open job roles. The team also plans to continue to build out its knowledge base by working with EPAM to create an Email Knowledge Asset Agent, a custom solution that would enable employees to send important company emails directly to DIAL, ensuring that the solution is updated in real time.
