I haven’t had much chance to get familiar with the local culture just yet, but what I have experienced is that Vilnius is a multicultural city full of energy. For me, the architecture and nature are really special. Vilnius isn’t a city of high-rise buildings – instead, there are lots of small, cozy places. My favorite thing to do is enjoy views of the sunrise over the forest with a cup of coffee in hand!

A couple of months ago, I had the chance to make a move to Vilnius whilst also keeping my ‘old world’ —  my projects and colleagues. In Lithuania, I really like the people. It was clear to me from the first step I took into the country – even the border patrol was very welcoming! It is common practice to say hello to strangers in Lithuania. If you are blocking the way, nobody will even ask you to move — most probably, they will patiently wait until you decide to free it up.

I was considering the possibility of relocation for quite a long time. When I was presented with the offer to move to Lithuania and build the mobile practice there from the ground up, I couldn’t resist. I’ve always been interested in European countries because of their values and opportunities. So far, Vilnius has only made a good impression. It is a calm and safe place – I love having a Sunday walk here with the whole family and a baby carriage!
