When Valeria graduated from the University of Guadalajara, she never imagined the journey ahead of her or the impact she would make. 

After graduation, she wanted to create tangible innovations that would impact people’s lives. Now, as an EPAMer, she is part of a team developing, testing and deploying web applications that are changing the travel industry, proving that the sky is the limit for her career.

“Starting a career as a developer can be exciting and challenging,” Valeria notes. “Especially for those just beginning their journey in the tech industry. As a new developer, it is easy to feel overwhelmed by the sheer amount of knowledge you need to acquire and the speed at which technology evolves.”

Valeria’s primary role at EPAM is as a back-end Java engineer. 

Every day starts with a warm cup of coffee for Valeria. It gives her the energy to create solutions to satisfy the needs of our clients and their customers, exceed expectations and create a memorable user experience. 

“Even after two years, I still encounter new challenges regularly. Whether debugging complex code, learning about new frameworks or optimizing performance, each day presents an opportunity to learn and grow. I have found that asking questions, collaborating with more experienced colleagues and staying up to date with the latest trends in Java development are essential strategies for overcoming these obstacles. EPAM presents me with the right environment to do just that.”
