EPAM India Honored with Second Consecutive CSR Times Award for Outstanding Education Initiative
For the second year in a row, EPAM India has been awarded a CSR Times Award in the education category for its e-Kids program—an initiative created to encourage young children aged 8 to 12 to explore software engineering, develop skills and proficiencies and pursue lifelong learning. The program is an ongoing initiative in partnership with Nirmaan Organization and Bhagini Nivedita Pratisthan—providing access to high-quality computing education for students from underrepresented communities.
Using the MIT-designed Scratch platform, the e-Kids program provides a fun and interactive environment where students can learn about gaming, animation and coding with the help of mentors, EPAM volunteers and hands-on challenges. Aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals [No. 4], EPAM’s e-Kids ensures inclusive and equitable quality education and promotes lifelong learning opportunities for all.
“We are immensely honored to receive the CSR Times Award for the second consecutive year,” said Srinivas Reddy, Managing Director, EPAM. “Through the EPAM e-Kids program, we are committed to breaking down barriers, bridging the digital divide and nurturing the next generation of tech leaders.”
With 18 fully equipped computer laboratories, EPAM holds 1,000+ lessons in each lab with committed eKids teachers, covering everything from computing fundamentals to advanced programming. This initiative provided access to high-quality computing education for more than 15,000 youngsters, including around 7,000 girls. EPAM India has launched several other CSR projects focusing on education for school and college students from under-represented communities.
