Modern Insurance IT: The Technological Implications of Change - Four Trends
No, we are not "through" with the transformation yet. Even if the insurance industry were as advanced as the banks, there would be no reason to rest.
The entire product range in the insurance industry, the processes and the organizations themselves will continue to change – and faster and faster. A closer look at the technologies that are available to us, but which are still rarely used in the conception, sale, conclusion and further development of an insurance product, shows this.
EPAM examined the current trends and technologies in the insurance industry in the report "Insurance: The Digital Paradox", which was conducted from August to November 2021 based on expert interviews at the InsuranceCom Conference 2021 in Zurich. In May 2022, our study "Insurance in Transition" also provided a compendium of statistics and suggestions from the extensive consulting work for insurance companies. The conclusion: The technological change is a marathon, not a sprint.

Das ganze Produktangebot in der Assekuranz, die Prozesse und die Organisationen selbst werden sich weiter wandeln – und zwar immer schneller. Das zeigt ein genauer Blick auf die Technologien, die uns zur Verfügung stehen, die aber bei der Konzeption, dem Vertrieb, dem Abschluss und der Weiterentwicklung eines Versicherungsproduktes noch wenig zum Einsatz kommen.
Die aktuellen Trends und Technologien der Versicherungsbranche hat EPAM im Report „Insurance: The Digital Paradox“ untersucht, der von August bis November 2021 aufbauend auf Experteninterviews zur InsuranceCom Conference 2021 in Zürich durchgeführt wurde. Im Mai 2022 lieferte unsere Studie „Versicherungen im Wandel“ ergänzend ein Kompendium von Statistiken und Anregungen aus der umfangreichen Beratungstätigkeit für Versicherungsunternehmen. Das Fazit: Der Technologiewandel ist ein Marathon, kein Sprint.
