Business Analyst Description
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to work on an insurance application from our office in Cyprus in a hybrid setup. The project is a business application that provides an end-to-end underwriting process from registration of the request, through calculation and risk assessment to the approval (or denial) of the request by the respective approval bodies.

Responsibilities
- Elicit, analyze and manage requirements from stakeholders
- Communicate and facilitate discussions with stakeholders (Product Owners, Business Analysts from different countries and companies)
- Possess and manage the Product Backlog by defining, prioritizing and refining tasks
- Possess a deep understanding of the product structure, business processes and data model
- Conduct Product Backlog Refinement/Grooming sessions to clarify and update requirements, decompose tasks and formulate acceptance criteria
- Assist the development team in interpreting and clarifying requirements, decomposing tasks and formulating acceptance criteria
- Build and maintain the project documentation
- Help the QA team with manual and acceptance testing
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a System or Business Analyst
- Proficiency in working with specifications, writing user stories and acceptance criteria, as well as experience in conducting requirements elicitation, analysis and management
- Understanding of requirements lifecycle and requirements quality criteria
- Experience in business process and data modelling
- Ability to build, compose and structure the project documentation
- Understanding the software development lifecycle
- Technical background with an understanding of microservice architecture, RESTful APIs and database design
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Fluency in English
Nice to have
- Knowledge of requirements modeling notations (UML, BPMN, EPC, DFD, ERD)
- Education or work experience related to fintech
- Experience in Scrum/Kanban
- Understanding the insurance/reinsurance domain
