Senior Robotics Engineer Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Robotics Engineer to work onsite with our client, a leading multinational technology company headquartered in the heart of Silicon Valley. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline the design and testing processes using advanced robotic automation systems. Your contributions will directly support the development of cutting-edge consumer electronics products.

This is a full-time, temporary onsite position (40 hours per week) with a project duration through December 2025.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams to design, specify, and implement custom robotic automation systems, as well as integrate these systems into the company’s infrastructure
  • Optimize measurement, testing, and validation processes by leveraging advanced robotic automation
  • Develop and maintain in-house software tools tailored to support various products and workflows
  • Create scripts to automate processes, such as failure detection and data collection
  • Deploy and maintain robotic systems that align with defined success criteria and project milestones
  • Validate all robotic automation-related project requests and ensure successful integration within supported environments

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years in software development, with significant experience in robotics-related projects
  • Strong proficiency in C++ and Python is required
  • Deep understanding of the ROS framework and experience working with industrial robotic systems, such as Universal Robots (URScript), is essential
  • Familiarity with mobile robotic systems
  • Experience with CAD design tools; experience with 3D printing and rapid prototyping is a plus
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, break down complex problems into manageable components, and implement effective solutions
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly motivated with exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deliverables effectively
