Senior Java Developer Description
For our client, one of the largest investment banks in the world, we're looking for a Senior Java Developer. You’ll be working in the global Fixed Income Rates and Credit Markets technology team.
This role offers a hybrid model, with 3 days per week working from the client's office in Krakow or Wroclaw, Poland.

Responsibilities
- Develop solutions to key business challenges developing Java applications
- Refactor and enhance existing components and solutions
- Manage UAT and demonstration sessions with key stakeholders
- Elicit key information from business stakeholders, transforming these into concise IT requirements
- Collaborate with other global IT teams
- Assist production operations team in rollout and production support
Requirements
- Good Java experience (minimum 5 years)
- Good understanding of low-latency, multi-threaded code
- Sound knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns. Exposure to functional programming is also highly desirable
- Experience of working in agile teams
- Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level
Nice to have
- Solid understanding of Rates and Credit bonds and derivatives
- Previous experience of bond markets (e.g. Bloomberg or Tradweb)
- Experience in automated testing and continuous integration
- Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages
- Experience of Kafka and/or AVRO
