Chief MACH Developer Description

Our dynamic team is in search of a motivated and highly skilled Chief MACH Developer to work with us remotely.

The selected individual will play a crucial role in designing and implementing scalable, high-performance eCommerce solutions tailored to our clients' business needs. A deep understanding of eCommerce platforms, adherence to industry best practices, and knowledge of emerging technologies are key attributes required for this role. The perfect candidate will exhibit superior problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to creating innovative solutions.


Responsibilities

  • The creation of end-to-end eCommerce solutions that align with client's business objectives, technical requirements, and industry standards, including developing comprehensive architecture blueprints, technical specifications, and integration plans
  • Assessment of eCommerce platforms, frameworks, and technologies to recommend the most suitable solutions based on client's requirements, scalability, and performance considerations, while staying updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to foster innovation and excellence in solution design
  • Offering technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams, such as developers, designers, and business analysts, throughout the project lifecycle, and working closely with stakeholders to convert business requirements into technical solutions
  • Designing and implementing seamless integration solutions to link eCommerce platforms with third-party systems, payment gateways, CRM systems, ERP systems, and other enterprise applications
  • Optimizing eCommerce solutions for performance, scalability, and reliability, which includes identifying and resolving performance issues, implementing caching strategies, and optimizing database queries to enhance system responsiveness and efficiency
  • Implementing robust security measures to safeguard eCommerce platforms from vulnerabilities, cyber threats, and data breaches, ensuring adherence to industry regulations and standards like PCI DSS and GDPR
  • Defining and implementing quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability, usability, and accessibility of eCommerce solutions, conducting code reviews, performance testing, and user acceptance testing to maintain high standards of software quality
  • Preparing technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and user guides for eCommerce solutions, providing training and knowledge transfer sessions to internal teams and clients on solution architecture and best practices
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance eCommerce development processes, tooling, and automation, proactively identifying opportunities to optimize system performance, enhance user experience, and streamline workflows

Requirements

  • Possession of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in eCommerce Engineering or a similar field, including experience in -Composable- eCommerce solution design and implementation
  • Expertise in eCommerce platforms like Shopify, WooCommerce, or custom-built solutions
  • Proficiency in one or more platforms such as CommerceTools, BigCommerce, Contentful, and Contentstack
  • Comprehensive understanding of MACH architecture, including headless commerce, microservices architecture, and API-first approaches
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript (Node.js), Python, or Go
  • Knowledge of frontend frameworks and libraries like React.js, Angular, or Vue.js
  • Experience with cloud platforms (for example, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and containerization technologies (for example, Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, web services, and integration patterns for connecting eCommerce systems with external applications and services
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in eCommerce environments
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong leadership abilities to lead cross-functional teams and drive collaboration toward common goals
