Senior Java Back-End Developer Remote

Responsibilities

• Design and develop RESTful services and APIs
• Utilize Java, Kotlin, and GraphQL for efficient back-end development
• Implement and manage caching frameworks like Redis and Ehcache
• Optimize system performance and adapt to fast-changing requirements in Docker and Kubernetes environments
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Github Actions
• Utilize Spring, Spring Boot, JPA, JMS, ActiveMQ, and Oracle RDBMS for back-end development
• Monitor application performance and identify areas for optimization
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address diverse tasks

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant professional experience
• Solid core Java and J2EE skills, with good experience in Kotlin and GraphQL
• Practical experience in caching frameworks like Redis and Ehcache
• Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes environments, along with Linux/Solaris knowledge and shell scripting
• Experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Github Actions
• Strong expertise in Spring, Spring Boot, JPA, JMS, ActiveMQ, and relational databases like Oracle 12c or later
• Capability in application performance monitoring tools such as DynaTrace, AppDynamics, or NewRelic
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt existing systems to fast-changing requirements
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• High-energy and passionate about the work
• B2+ English level proficiency

Nice to have

• Experience in E-Commerce and high transaction-processing environments
• Proficiency in web fundamentals like HTML, JavaScript/CSS, SEO, and accessibility
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks like AngularJS, React, Node.js, or Ember, and JS-based build tools like Grunt, Gulp, and Bower
• Familiarity with CSS frameworks such as Foundation, Bootstrap, Sass/LESS
• Knowledge in system administration, PCI compliance, modern security standards, and data science/machine learning algorithms
