Lead ETL Informatica Engineer Description

We seek an experienced Lead ETL Informatica Engineer to become an integral part of our agile team.

The successful applicant will enhance current and future database applications to ensure superior performance and maintain high standards of data quality. As a guide, the Senior ETL Informatica Engineer will spearhead technical initiatives and guide less experienced team members towards achieving excellence in their work.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize open source frameworks, third-party libraries, and commercial tools to manage database schema variations across systems
  • Develop effective data models and generate reports via BI platforms
  • Establish automated, consistent workflows for managing database modifications
  • Work collaboratively with development teams to enhance application efficiency
  • Work with support teams to pinpoint data inconsistencies and carry out data adjustments
  • Improve current health insurance applications benefiting both consumers and operational personnel
  • Analyze query plans and refine query efficiency
  • Facilitate change through automation and refine existing methodologies
  • Define exact performance goals and keep records of performance metrics

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • More than 5 years of experience with ETL tools, with a preference for Informatica, Kafka, and AWS Glue
  • At least 1 year of relevant leadership background
  • Robust expertise in database architecture and analysis including relational and NoSQL databases such as Oracle, DynamoDB
  • Understanding of data warehousing and data modeling practices including Star and Dimensional Modeling
  • Familiarity with BI and reporting tools like Tableau
  • Proficiency in PL/SQL and Oracle XML development
  • Advanced understanding of Oracle Database and database optimization
  • Background in Cloud and Big Data technologies
  • Capability to manage data consistency and concurrency considerations

  • Background in using Liquibase for managing database schema changes
