Senior Software Development Engineer in Test Description
We are seeking a proactive Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our Quality Engineering team.
The ideal candidate will be instrumental in developing, managing, and executing comprehensive test plans and test cases, maintaining alignment with product management and development timelines. This role requires expertise in both manual and automated testing as part of an overall test strategy, working closely with Software Development, DevOps, and Project & Product Management teams.

Responsibilities
- Develop and update detailed test plans, test cases, and timelines
- Ensure alignment with schedules of Product Management and Development teams
- Create and execute both manual and automated test scripts
- Define test strategies for product requirements, new features, enhancements, and bug resolutions
- Implement best QA practices throughout the project lifecycle
- Collaborate with DevOps and Product Development teams
- Review test suites, assertions, and tests within code repositories
- Maintain a high standard of quality for web applications developed for both internal and public use
- Manage performance, load, and API testing
- Utilize tools like Playwright, Postman, Jira, and K6 for various testing needs
- Set up local environments essential for development and testing
- Work in an Agile/Scrum environment with diverse team members
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years related work experience
- Background in code management with Git
- Proficiency in setting up testing frameworks using Playwright or similar tools
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps, including Azure Test Plans and Pipelines
- Skills in Node.js, TypeScript, and GraphQL
- Expertise in API testing and debugging with Postman
- Experience maintaining performance tests using K6
- Understanding of ticket tracking with tools like Jira
- Competency in code coverage and continuous integration tools
- Clear understanding of the relationship between front-end user experience and back-end database systems
- Capability to resolve complex technical problems
Nice to have
- Familiarity with performance and load testing of web applications such as JMeter
