Senior Site Reliability Engineer Description

We are looking to hire an experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer who will play a crucial role in maintaining the dependability, functionality, and efficiency of our infrastructure systems.

The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in DevOps practices, non-relational databases, and cloud infrastructure services.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee automated solutions to enhance system reliability and scalability
  • Perform system maintenance and administration on Linux-based environments
  • Manage an array of AWS cloud services including EC2, VPC, RDS, Redis, Route 53, Secret Manager, System Manager, and S3
  • Handle automation tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, GitLab Pipelines, and Ansible
  • Utilize scripting languages like Bash and Python for system operations
  • Oversee and maintain version control systems including GitLab and GitHub
  • Establish and uphold Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices with tools like Terraform and CloudFormation
  • Partner with development teams to support software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Handle multiple environment configurations such as development, staging, and production
  • Administer containerized applications using Docker
  • Employ monitoring tools such as Datadog, Grafana, and New Relic for proactive system management
  • Refine deployment methods including A/B testing, blue/green deployments, and canary releases
  • Utilize task and knowledge management tools such as Jira and Confluence for better collaboration and documentation

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in DevOps or SRE roles
  • Proficiency in Linux administration
  • Skills in managing AWS services
  • Expertise in automation mechanisms and IaC methodologies
  • Experience with scripting languages Bash and Python
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
  • Proficiency in handling version control systems
  • Background in Docker for container operations
  • Understanding of non-relational databases like Cassandra, MongoDB, and DynamoDB
  • Proficiency in performance monitoring using tools like Datadog, Grafana, and New Relic
  • Ability to adapt to various deployment strategies
  • Fluent in English communication skills at a B2+ level
