Lead JavaScript Developer Description
We are looking for a Lead JavaScript Developer to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the migration of our existing application to newer standards while ensuring optimal performance and visual excellence across our products. Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and implementation of front-end strategies for rich, multi-tenant environments
- Collaborate closely with product teams to progressively migrate large monolithic codebases to new architectures
- Optimize the performance of Single Page Applications (SPAs), focusing on CIDC compilation and runtime targets
- Critique and modify existing designs to enhance visual appeal and user interaction
- Establish and maintain rigorous testing automation practices using tools like Playwright
- Enhance the responsiveness and adaptability of our designs across various devices
- Contribute to the development of Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) with seamless offline and caching capabilities
- Strategize and lead A/B testing using tools such as Google Optimize, Optimizely, or VWO
- Manage the transition of legacy codebase to contemporary standards
- Facilitate team collaboration and foster an environment of innovation and continual improvement
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in a senior engineering role with a proven track record of technical leadership
- Expertise in JavaScript, and proficiency in React and Redux frameworks
- Background in working with SCSS and interacting with RESTful APIs
- Qualifications in TypeScript with strong skills in responsive design implementation
- Skills in managing extensive SPA focusing on performance improvements
- Experience working in scalable, multi-tenant environments
- Capability to transition and maintain large and complex codebases
- Knowledge of automated testing frameworks, specifically Playwright
- Familiarity with A/B testing tools such as Google Optimize, Optimizely, or VWO
- Competency in developing and optimizing Progressive Web Apps (PWAs)
Nice to have
- Experience with mobile notifications
- Understanding of caching mechanisms and experience in offline operations
