Senior Test Automation Engineer with .NET Description
We are seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer with .NET to work remotely with our globally recognized client.
You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and test cases. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the highest quality of our software products through the implementation of best practices in test automation. You will work closely with development teams to integrate testing into the CI/CD pipeline and contribute to the overall efficiency and reliability of our development processes.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute automated tests using JavaScript/TypeScript/C#, and Playwright
- Understand and make changes to UI code/work closely with UI developers to maintain consistent and reliable page objects
- Maintain and enhance existing test automation frameworks (preferably BDD, POM) to accommodate new features and improvements
- Integrate automated tests into Github/Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, ensuring continuous testing is part of the development lifecycle
- Identify, document, and track bugs and issues through to resolution using JIRA
- Perform backend testing using SQL to validate database integrity and data transformations
- Collaborate with developers to establish test strategies and plans for new features and services
- Utilize Git for version control and collaborate with team members through pull requests and code reviews
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and ensure test coverage
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies, and share knowledge with the team
- Think creatively to identify new testing approaches and improve existing processes
- Contribute to performance testing efforts to ensure software scalability and reliability
- Work with latest Performance testing tools like Artillery.io
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience as an SDET or Test Automation Engineer with 3+ years of experience
- Strong programming skills in C# and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience with test automation tools like Playwright
- Familiarity with SQL and database testing
- Experience with Azure DevOps/GitHub or similar CI/CD tools
- Proficient with Git and version control best practices
- Experience with Visual Studio Code or similar IDEs
- Knowledge of JIRA and Kanban workflow management
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside the box
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- B2+ English level proficiency
