Senior Java Developer Description
We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our team, contributing to the development of essential software programs and driving our projects forward.
As part of our team, you’ll contribute to the Research Portal project for our client, enhancing user engagement in the Members Area and supporting our platform solutions. Your responsibilities will include developing software, maintaining trading system functionality, and proposing upgrades.

Responsibilities
- Develop software programs and utilities used in the organization
- Recommend software upgrades for existing systems
- Review current systems and propose ideas for system improvements
- Produce detailed specifications and implement program codes
- Test products in controlled situations and rectify any issues before deployment
- Use versioning control systems
- Maintain systems once they are operational
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a relevant field
- Minimum of 3 years of solid work experience in Java development
- Familiarity with Java EE, WildFly, Java 11, Spring Boot (Web, WebFlux), and Oracle DB
- Experience with AWS, including DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, DocumentDB, Timestream, Lambda, etc
- Proficient in Kubernetes (AWS EKS), Terraform, and ELK (Elastic Cloud)
- Proficiency in event-driven programming, databases, versioning control systems, and software testing techniques at all levels
- Experience in the financial services industry
- Proactive, sharp, and efficient
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
Nice to have
- Knowledge of AWS services like API Gateway, Kinesis, etc
- Experience with REST API
- Familiarity with containers (Docker) and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
- Understanding of queuing/messaging technologies
- Experience with additional technologies such as Kafka and Helm
- Knowledge in Jenkins, Git, GitLab, and Gradle
