Senior Data Engineer Description
Are you passionate about creating scalable services? We're seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Customer Success and Support Data Engineering team. In this role, you'll design and develop high-quality data solutions and applications that are crucial for organizational decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop data marts and distinct data models tailored for analytical usage, working in agile sprints
- Address and resolve ad-hoc data requests promptly
- Build and optimise data ingestion pipelines, focusing on enhancing data flow and integration
- Craft comprehensive and accessible documentation that empowers both technical and non-technical stakeholders to effectively leverage the developed data solutions
Requirements
- 8+ years of working experience as a Data Engineer
- High proficiency in SQL, specifically Databricks SQL, and a strong command of SQL for data querying and manipulation
- Extensive knowledge of Spark, including Apache Spark internals and Spark Streaming
- Proficient in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) using Java, Scala, or Kotlin
- Experience with data integration, modeling, and REST APIs
- General understanding of big data environments, the AWS suite, and experience with CI/CD practices
- Proficient in using cloud services, particularly AWS
Nice to have
- Proficiency in Python, particularly PySpark
- Knowledge of microservices architecture
- Experience with Terraform and orchestration of Airflow jobs
