Lead Application Support Analyst Description

We are looking for a Lead Application Support Analyst to join our Global Support team, ensuring operational excellence across 10 countries and three time zones. In this role, you will be responsible for IT system stability, governance, and automation, supporting a 24/5 global operation.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure high system availability and deliver fast, accurate responses to technical issues and service requests
  • Proactively govern and manage Global Research Applications, ensuring strict adherence to SOPs, standing orders, and IT best practices
  • Lead the integration and deployment of releases, including bug fixes, patches, configuration changes, and post-release validation
  • Foster a culture of documentation, knowledge-sharing, and cross-training to build operational resilience and team depth
  • Mentor and support team members by identifying growth opportunities, promoting technical upskilling, and encouraging collaboration
  • Act as a key liaison between Business, Technology, and Functional teams, enabling seamless communication and platform alignment
  • Oversee effective incident, problem, and change management practices, providing regular updates to stakeholders
  • Leverage automation tools and scheduling platforms (e.g., Control-M, crontab) to drive efficiency and operational excellence
  • Support IT governance and risk reduction initiatives to ensure the environment remains secure, compliant, and well-controlled

Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and Unix/Linux scripting for robust system analysis and troubleshooting
  • Strong service management background (ITIL), with hands-on experience in incident, change, and production support
  • Solid understanding of automation scheduling tools such as Control-M, crontab, or similar platforms
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with technical teams, business users, and global stakeholders
  • Good understanding of trading products and financial instruments, such as derivatives, fixed income, and other asset classes
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to mentor, coach, and develop support teams across regions
  • A proactive, detail-oriented problem solver who consistently seeks opportunities to optimize systems and processes
  • Willingness to participate in a 24/7 global support model, including rotational shifts as required
