Senior Infrastructure Support Engineer Description

We are currently seeking an experienced remote Senior Infrastructure Support Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring windows-based systems, carrying out basic network administering and troubleshooting, and working effectively without needing explicit instructions. You will display a high level of self-direction when it comes to high-level tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor Windows-based systems and carry out basic network administering and troubleshooting
  • Administer patching and software deployment areas (SCCM and Intune)
  • Work effectively without needing explicit instructions and display a high level of self-direction when it comes to high-level tasks
  • Troubleshoot and provide technical support for Windows-based systems
  • Write scripts using PowerShell for automation and other tasks as needed
  • Ensure adherence to ITIL standards and best practices for infrastructure support
  • Maintain and update technical documentation for infrastructure systems

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Infrastructure Support Engineering
  • Expertise in monitoring of Windows-based systems, practical admin experience with SCOM is an advantage
  • Proficiency with administering patching and software deployment areas (SCCM and Intune)
  • Strong scripting skills (PowerShell)
  • Expertise in Windows Administering
  • Basic network administering and troubleshooting skills
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills
  • Good verbal and written skills in English at a B2+ level

Nice to have

  • Proficiency with Azure infrastructure (as an MS Systems Engineer)
  • Background in virtualization (Hyper-V, VMWare, Failover clustering)
  • Skilled in MS System Center - SCOM, SCCM, SCO, SC HVMM
  • Knowledge of NTFS
  • Proficiency with Office 365 and Microsoft Exchange
  • ITIL Foundation, ServiceNOW, Asset Management (CMDB) knowledge
  • Ability to write technical documentation in English
  • Basic knowledge of network monitoring
  • Experience with databases and Jenkins administering
