Senior Accessibility Consultant Remote

Responsibilities

• Ensure that our company's products and services are completely accessible to individuals with disabilities, adhering to best practices and standards in accessibility
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including designers, developers, and project managers, to incorporate accessibility considerations throughout the software development lifecycle
• Lead accessibility workshops and training sessions to raise awareness and promote best practices within the team
• Compile A11y Compliance Reports/VPATs and establish accessibility specifications for our products and services
• Participate in brainstorming and other idea-generation sessions to identify innovative ways to improve accessibility

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in accessibility testing and consulting
• Experience in compiling A11y Compliance Reports/VPATs and developing accessibility specifications
• Comprehensive understanding of accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.1 and Section 508 compliance
• Expertise in A11y testing methodologies and processes
• Experience with A11y evaluation tools, such as JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver
• Familiarity with screen readers and other assistive technologies
• Excellent consulting and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex accessibility concepts to stakeholders
• B2+ English level proficiency

• Familiarity with accessibility in HTML/CSS
