Senior Oracle DBA & Migration Engineer Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle DBA & Migration Engineer to join our team.
This role focuses on managing, optimizing, and facilitating the migration of our Oracle databases to cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will bring a robust background in database administration, migration techniques, and performance optimizations.
The remote option applies only to the Candidates who will be working from any location in Ukraine.

Responsibilities
- Analyze and optimize Oracle database performance utilizing AWR reports
- Resolve performance bottlenecks through meticulous analysis and optimization strategies
- Implement industry best practices for database tuning and maintenance
- Plan and oversee the migration of Oracle databases
- Design, develop, and maintain scripts for smooth database migration
- Guarantee minimal downtime and uphold data integrity throughout the migration
- Develop and implement comprehensive backup and restoration strategies
- Conduct regular testing and audits to ensure effectiveness of backup procedures
- Assess, recommend, and implement database partitioning strategies to enhance performance
- Provide ongoing management for Oracle database configurations, upgrades, and installations
- Continuously monitor database health, including performance metrics and security protocols
- Collaborate with development teams to provide database support for related tasks and projects
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Oracle DBA roles with a focus on database architecture and administration
- Expertise in performance tuning and optimization using AWR
- Proficiency in various scripting languages including Shell, PL/SQL, and Python
- In-depth knowledge of backup, restore strategies, and associated tools
- Skilled in implementing and managing database partitioning techniques and strategies
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, and keen attention to detail
- Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level
