Senior Google Distributed Cloud Connected (GDC-C) Engineer Description
We are actively seeking a Senior Google Distributed Cloud Connected (GDC-C) Engineer to become an integral part of our Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE).
The chosen candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient, scalable operation of our Kubernetes as a Service (KaaS) offerings by utilizing Google Distributed Cloud to improve software delivery pipelines, service deployment, and incident management. This position requires deep technical knowledge and a demonstrated ability to manage Kubernetes clusters and applications within a distributed cloud framework to aid our clients' expansion and promote innovative cloud solutions.
The position is hybrid and requires work from any EPAM office in Poland.

Responsibilities
- Efficient utilization of Google Distributed Cloud
- Design and oversee Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications on GDC-C
- Evaluate Google cloud design impacts on performance and costs
- Optimize network configurations including IP subnetting, routing, and firewall rules
- Deploy and oversee container technology like Docker and Kubernetes
- Utilize CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Buildkite for build management
- Use infrastructure configuration tools including Terraform and Puppet
- Work with clients to customize Kubernetes solutions to application needs
- Improve high availability, scalability, and security of Kubernetes deployments
- Troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters and network connectivity issues
- Implement robust monitoring solutions using tools like Splunk and Dynatrace
- Scripting for automation and build tasks in a modern language
- Engage in ongoing learning of new technologies and methods in infrastructure management
- Advocate and implement best practices in cloud network configuration and maintenance
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps or related roles
- Proficiency in Google Distributed Cloud Connected and other Google Cloud services
- Background in constructing and managing private, public, and hybrid cloud infrastructures
- Competency in Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub, and associated technologies
- Proficiency in scripting languages for automation purposes
- Understanding of Big Data tools on GCP: BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, Dataflow
- Certification as a Kubernetes Administrator preferred
- Skills in coding and engineering within an agile environment
- Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code for automated deployments
- Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering principles
- Expertise in cloud delivery models
- Proven record of project management and execution in large, international companies
Nice to have
- Advanced certifications in Google Cloud technologies
- Proficiency in additional monitoring tools like Datadog or New Relic
