Data Engineer (Python) Description
We are currently on the lookout for a seasoned Data Engineer with Python knowledge to boost our hybrid engineering teams in a remote work setup.
This role encompasses the support for data integration, transformation, modeling and management of voluminous structured financial data of one of our clients from the financial industry.
As the selected candidate, you will design and develop software to effectively process data through our client's Medallion Architecture running on Databricks in the Microsoft Azure environment. We aim to seamlessly incorporate software engineering techniques and principles into data engineering.
The remote option applies only to the Candidates who will be working from any location in Greece.

Responsibilities
- Craft and implement software for data procession using Medallion Architecture on the Databricks in Microsoft Azure
- Handle data integration processes
- Apply data transformation and modeling techniques to enhance data utility and augment system efficiency
- Sustain data model integrity, reliability, and performance
- Cooperate with various teams to interpret business requirements, contribute to system designs, and deliver production problem-solving support
Requirements
- Extensive Python engineering experience
- Proven experience in building data processing systems using structured data, preferably with Apache Spark
- Proficient in relational data modelling and SQL
- Ability and drive to work across the whole software development lifecycle from understanding requirements, contributing to designs, writing quality code, conducting automated tests, providing production support and assisting with deployments
- Experience with Databricks and Delta Lake would be mandatory requirement
- Good Azure knowledge
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
