Solution Architect/Pre-Sale Engineer Description

We are actively seeking a seasoned Solution Architect/Pre-Sale Engineer to join our payment practice team.

This role is pivotal in the business development process, including the creation of business proposals, the development of EPAM's offerings, and the finalization of deals. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the EPAM Payment practice team.

This position offers remote setup with the flexibility to work from any location in Georgia, whether it's your home, a well-equipped office in Tbilisi or coworking spaces in Batumi and Kutaisi.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing activities during solution ideation, design, and implementation
  • Evaluating the business context for solutions, defining vision and requirements, recommending potential options, selecting the optimal option, and developing a roadmap for the chosen solution
  • Breaking down requirements into technical tasks
  • Supervising and guiding development teams
  • Analyzing security protection technologies as needed
  • Consistently collecting and organizing EPAM's technological and business experience for reuse by sales and presales teams

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of practical experience in software development
  • At least 1 year experience in a Solution Architect role or similar
  • Comprehensive understanding of coding languages (Java/Kotlin/.NET Core/etc.)
  • Familiarity with payments/cards (PA, PCI DSS) domain
  • Proficiency in SOA, RESTful API design
  • Experience with microservice architecture (including OAuth 2, OpenID, API gateways, microservice monitoring)
  • Knowledge of Clouds (AWS or Azure)
  • Experience with Databases (SQL/NoSQL)
  • Familiarity with ESB and stream-processing software (e.g. Oracle ESB, Microsoft WebSphere, Kafka)
  • Proficiency in Visio/Draw.IO & PowerPoint / Familiarity with diagram notation (BPM, C4, etc.)
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, excellent presentation abilities
  • English language proficiency at B2 level or higher
