Lead Software Engineer (Golang) Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop scalable, secure and maintainable cloud-native applications utilizing Golang and Vue.js
• Lead the integration of frontend components (Vue.js) with backend Golang APIs, ensuring seamless communication and optimal user experience
• Lead the deployment and management of applications on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), ensuring high availability, scalability, and reliability
• Oversee the secure utilization of Azure services, including AAD, Key Vault and others, for application management
• Lead the implementation and management of automated CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins) for efficient and secure deployments
• Champion security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle
• Implement and enforce robust security measures, including OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, secure data encryption and secrets management
• Define and oversee the setup of comprehensive monitoring and alerting solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack) to ensure application health and performance
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, etc.) to align on project goals and deliver exceptional results
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in Golang, Vue.js, cloud-native technologies and security best practices
• Drive continuous improvement in development processes and technologies

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software development experience
• 6+ years of hands-on experience developing applications with Golang
• Proven experience leading software engineering teams and driving technical direction
• Strong expertise in Azure cloud services, particularly AKS, AAD and Key Vault
• Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes and its ecosystem for deploying, managing, and scaling applications
• Extensive experience with Vue.js framework (Vue CLI, Vuex/Pinia, Vue Router)
• Expertise in implementing secure authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth2, OIDC, JWT)
• Strong background in containerization (Docker) and orchestration with Kubernetes
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins) and automated deployments
• In-depth knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack)
• Expertise in secure coding practices, data encryption, secrets management, and cloud security best practices
