DevOps Engineer Remote
DevOps Engineer Description
We are seeking a Middle DevOps Engineer to join our DevOps team, which supports the broader teams of our client in decomposing their former monoliths and lifting them into the cloud.
This role involves a 70/30 split between build engineering and other responsibilities, utilizing platforms built on .Net and C#. This is an opportunity to make a substantial impact in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
- Deploy both mobile and desktop applications
- Handle building and packaging of iOS and Android apps
- Utilize Fastlane for automation tasks
- Demonstrate general Linux and iOS/mac knowledge
- Implement and maintain CI/CD processes
- Engage in scripting activities
- Collaborate with Software Engineers, QA, DBAs, and the Engineering Manager for smooth deployments
- Proactively improve building and deployment processes across all environments
Requirements
- Experience in agile/lean/scrum environments
- Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts to all organizational levels
- Ownership, enthusiasm, and innovative approach to problem solving
- Proficiency in scripting and automation, particularly using PowerShell
- Solid experience in cloud native CI/CD pipelines
- Competency in deploying applications on AWS (EC2, ECS)
- Background in various build technologies such as TeamCity, Bamboo, Jenkins/Hudson, Cruise Control, MSDeploy, Nant, MS Lab Manager
- Familiarity with application delivery pipelines like Octopus Deploy
- Experience working with SVN and GIT
- Skills in automating database deployments with tools for database versioning or source control
- Competency in deploying .NET Framework and .NET Core applications and components
- Understanding of using SonarQube
- Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field
Nice to have
- Knowledge of PowerShell
- Familiarity with Octopus Deploy
- Experience in Bamboo builds
- Proficiency in GitLab CI
- Skills in using Gradle for Android and general AWS codebuild capabilities
