MedTech Segment Head - Remote Description
This Remote Position Cannot be Performed in New York City.
The Industry Segment Head is the “CEO” and P&L owner of the services sold and delivered into the market aligned to Medical Technologies and Medical Devices. This includes ownership and accountability for senior-level client relationships and successfully ensuring the quality, integrity, value, and financial metrics of the portfolio.
Our ideal candidate will also act as the primary point of contact for Clients, Delivery Teams, Technology Practices, and Consulting Teams within the Life Sciences Business Unit. He or she will be involved in developing and implementing account strategies, architecting and overseeing delivery approaches, building successful relationships, and owning business results.

Responsibilities
- Segment P&L responsibility for all commercial aspects of the portfolio including revenue, profitability, engagement models, pricing, and forecasting
- Responsible for driving both commercial success (i.e. growing EPAM’s business) and successful delivery of digital as well as physical MedTech solutions for our clients
- Actively stay abreast of current and emerging trends, unique opportunities, and challenges of the markets and geographies in which our clients operate, and how it affects clients’ business and initiatives. Execute as a thought leader, with a clear POV and ability to communicate it through multiple channels
- Align with EPAM stakeholders including Business Units (BU Heads, Client Partners) as well as Delivery (General Delivery, Technology Practices, and Consulting) to co-develop / support account plans and strategies for delivery, growth, and client satisfaction
- For select clients and engagements, serve as the executive industry partner and/or engagement lead, helping our clients shape their strategies and program/product roadmaps
- Develop and articulate the value of EPAM through a compelling go-to-market plan with deep understanding of our client’s business and how they engage with their clients and markets
- Support sales / pre-sales activities by assessing product opportunities, responding to RFP’s, creating proposals and presentations, establishing relationships with clients and prospective clients, and helping to close / sign new deals
- Responsible for shaping physical and digital MedTech engagements and assisting with the proper scoping/pricing of those engagements
- Establishing optimal operating models and project team organization, and supporting transitions from the sales process to the delivery phase
- Understand the full end-end product cycle, from product vision/strategy, user experience design through development and release. Working closely with project/program management to ensure successful delivery through an integrated delivery model

Requirements
- More than 10 years of demonstrated success in the MedTech industry - developing and growing an account and/or segment portfolio, leading teams, and delivering client-valued solutions
- Experience and expert knowledge of physical medical device development and digital ecosystem development
- Strong problem-solving skills. A creative thinker with gravitas
- Ability to operate at the strategic level, yet being close enough to the details to add value to clients and be hands-on support to your direct and indirect team
- Experience managing and growing a line of business
- Exceptional leadership/management skills and superb oral and written communication, with seasoned presentation skills
- Track record of growing business and leading teams
- Sound business acumen; strategic skills; common sense
- Cultural EQ to operate effectively across geographic and organizational boundaries
- Effectively manages up and down
- Strong negotiation skills
- Bachelor's degree or higher

This posting includes a good faith range of the salary EPAM would reasonably expect to pay the selected candidate. The range provided reflects base salary only. Individual compensation offers within the range are based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to: geographic location, experience, credentials, education, training; the demand for the role; and overall business and labor market considerations. Most candidates are hired at a salary within the range disclosed. Salary range: $220K - $300K.
