Responsibilities

  • Oversee and address testing request backlog to ensure timely completion and quality assurance
  • Work collaboratively with Design, Product Management, and Product Engineering to integrate testing throughout the product lifecycle
  • Partner with the Testing Lead to ensure precision and alignment with expectations in all testing efforts
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to refine testing strategies and practices
  • Train and mentor other accessibility testers
  • Develop comprehensive test plans, scripts, and accessibility-related documentation
  • Facilitate tailored training plans under the guidance of the Accessibility Test Lead
  • Advise on reducing quality errors through regular audits
  • Independently manage complex projects with minimal supervision
  • Promote a team culture that values collaboration, innovation, and respectful discussion
  • Adhere to and enforce accessibility policies and guidelines
  • Stay updated with current industry trends and standards in accessibility
  • Continually enhance personal expertise in accessibility testing

Requirements

  • A background in information science, computer science, or a similar field, or equivalent industry experience
  • 3+ years of testing experience related to software or web development
  • 2+ years of experience dedicated to accessibility
  • Proficiency in understanding WCAG 2.1 (AA) guidelines
  • Expertise in assistive technologies, accessibility-related software like JAWS and NVDA, and automated testing tools
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps (ADO) for managing and tracking bugs
  • Demonstrated ability to drive testing efforts across multidisciplinary teams
  • Showcase of effective test plan and script development
  • Skills in influencing processes and clear decision-making in ambiguous situations
  • Strong communication skills with experience in high-level stakeholder interaction
