Responsibilities
- Oversee and address testing request backlog to ensure timely completion and quality assurance
- Work collaboratively with Design, Product Management, and Product Engineering to integrate testing throughout the product lifecycle
- Partner with the Testing Lead to ensure precision and alignment with expectations in all testing efforts
- Provide data-driven recommendations to refine testing strategies and practices
- Train and mentor other accessibility testers
- Develop comprehensive test plans, scripts, and accessibility-related documentation
- Facilitate tailored training plans under the guidance of the Accessibility Test Lead
- Advise on reducing quality errors through regular audits
- Independently manage complex projects with minimal supervision
- Promote a team culture that values collaboration, innovation, and respectful discussion
- Adhere to and enforce accessibility policies and guidelines
- Stay updated with current industry trends and standards in accessibility
- Continually enhance personal expertise in accessibility testing
Requirements
- A background in information science, computer science, or a similar field, or equivalent industry experience
- 3+ years of testing experience related to software or web development
- 2+ years of experience dedicated to accessibility
- Proficiency in understanding WCAG 2.1 (AA) guidelines
- Expertise in assistive technologies, accessibility-related software like JAWS and NVDA, and automated testing tools
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps (ADO) for managing and tracking bugs
- Demonstrated ability to drive testing efforts across multidisciplinary teams
- Showcase of effective test plan and script development
- Skills in influencing processes and clear decision-making in ambiguous situations
- Strong communication skills with experience in high-level stakeholder interaction
