Guidewire Business Analyst Description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Guidewire Business Analyst to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing the performance and efficiency of our business processes by utilizing their expertise in Guidewire and related technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the ticketing system to analyze incidents and either directly resolve or escalate them
  • Conduct root cause analysis and provide recommendations to optimize system performance
  • Support workflow designs and provide expert knowledge on them
  • Facilitate and plan requirements gathering sessions, meetings, and presentations
  • Lead sessions to review completed business requirements, aiming for consensus and final approval from key business users
  • Build and maintain strong relationships within business units to understand business needs thoroughly
  • Collaborate with development and testing teams to provide subject matter expertise and resolve issues
  • Propose solutions emphasizing efficiency and consistency across products
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing development and planning, including test steps and scripts
  • Guide the UAT execution phase to ensure user acceptance test signoff

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years in business analysis within the Commercial Property & Casualty insurance industry
  • Proficiency in Guidewire, integration to external systems, and policy administration solutions
  • Experienced with iterative and agile methodologies; familiarity with SDLC & PMLC processes
  • Hands-on experience in writing various requirements and documentation including business process diagrams
  • Understanding of IT solutions for business improvement automation
  • Background in visualization tools
  • Capability to troubleshoot system issues
  • Experience with project and business tools such as Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with SharePoint, UI mockup tools
  • Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level
