Senior Data Software Engineer [GCP] Description
We are seeking a Senior Data Software Engineer to join our team.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing applications using Python and working in a cloud environment, particularly on data-driven projects within the Google Cloud Platform.

Responsibilities
- Develop applications using Python within a cloud environment, particularly on data-driven projects within the Google Cloud Platform
- Collaborate with the team to design and implement ETL/ELT solutions
- Utilize Google Composer or Google CloudRun for efficient data processing and orchestration
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of data warehouses using approaches like Data Vault 2.0
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for efficient deployment and management of cloud resources
- Participate in CI/CD processes using GitHub Actions or other deployment methods
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of data software engineering solutions
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in developing applications using Python
- Hands-on experience with data-driven projects on the Google Cloud Platform
- Practical experience with Google Composer (or Apache Airflow) or Google CloudRun (or dockerized Python containers)
- Basic knowledge of data processing via SQL
- Experience in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL), with knowledge of approaches like Data Vault 2.0 being beneficial
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
- Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level
Nice to have
- Knowledge of containerization using Docker and deployment on Google Cloud Run
- Familiarity with CI/CD and deployment methods beyond GitHub Actions
- Experience in building and optimizing data warehouses
- Exposure to Google Cloud Composer for efficient data orchestration
