Data Software Engineer Description
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Data Engineer to join our team.
Our client is a leading provider of property insights and analytics, offering data-driven solutions to empower decision-making in real estate, financial services and insurance industries. The ideal candidate will have experience working with modern data engineering tools and technologies and a strong willingness to grow their expertise in a collaborative and challenging environment.
This role requires a proactive attitude and the ability to work effectively with onshore client teams in a transitioning environment.

Responsibilities
- Assist in designing, building and maintaining data pipelines and workflows using Python, Spark and Airflow
- Work with cloud-based services such as AWS (DynamoDB, S3, Lambda) or GCP to support data processing tasks
- Contribute to data storage solutions, including Snowflake, Elastic Search and SQL Server
- Perform testing and monitoring to ensure data quality and reliability
- Support containerized application development using Docker
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions
- Follow Agile processes (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and contribute to DevOps practices like CI/CD pipelines
- Participate in knowledge transfer activities to ensure continuity of operations
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python and SQL with experience in data pipeline tools like Airflow
- Basic understanding of distributed data systems and cloud architectures
- Hands-on experience with containerization tools such as Docker
- Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset for knowledge transfer
- Highlight time zone flexibility to collaborate effectively with an Australian client
- Understanding of general big data concepts
