Software Engineer (Node.js, Cantonese Speaking) Description
We are seeking a skilled Node.js Developer to join our team and design scalable, secure solutions for web applications.
The ideal candidate has strong backend development expertise, collaborative skills, and problem-solving capabilities to deliver high-quality results.

Responsibilities
- Build and optimize backend services and APIs using Node.js, ensuring performance, scalability and security
- Collaborate with front-end developers and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions
- Work with DevOps to streamline workflows and automate processes
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- At least 4+ years of backend development experience with Node.js and frameworks (e.g., Fastify, Hapi)
- Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, API development (REST/GraphQL) and database technologies (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
- Proficiency in tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins and GIT
- Experience in Agile environments, Test-Driven Development (TDD) and integrating front-end technologies
- Effective communication skills in Cantonese and English
Nice to have
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and Unix scripting (Shell/Python)
- Knowledge of Java and Spring Framework
- Prior consultancy or client-facing experience
