API and Integration Solution Architect Description
We are looking for an experienced API and Integration Solution Architect to join our EPAM team. In this role, you will play a key part in providing technical leadership while transforming business requirements into robust and scalable integration solutions.
This position offers remote setup with the flexibility to work from any location in Poland, whether it's your home or one of our well-equipped offices in Gdansk, Katowice, Krakow, Lodz, Warsaw, or Wroclaw.
Our API and Integration (APIN) practice focuses on assisting clients in navigating complex integration and API enablement challenges. We offer a comprehensive range of services, including consulting (API Strategy, Program/Governance, Adoption), architecture, delivery, and expertise in specialized platforms such as Mule, Apigee, Kong, among others. Specialists within our APIN Practice possess a strong track record of crafting and governing decoupled, reusable, and highly scalable API and Integration solutions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with peers across various technology disciplines to formulate delivery and organizational approaches, actively contributing to digital strategy definition
- Work closely with client stakeholders, delivering high-quality service in a friendly and professional manner
- Translate business requirements into MuleSoft-based architecture solutions
- Design solutions in alignment with EPAM’s best practices and standards
- Engage in pre-sales activities, articulating technical solutions and benefits to potential clients
- Provide oversight to technical teams throughout the design and build process across the delivery lifecycle
- Mentor and coach new team members and developers to foster growth and skill development
- Contribute to the expansion of the APIN practice community through collaborative efforts
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Software Development
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in implementing complex integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform
- Strong understanding of API & Integration standards, best practices, and design patterns
- Proficiency in designing RESTful APIs
- Experience with specification standards such as OAS or RAML
- Understanding of Microservices Architecture
- Knowledge of rational databases (e.g. Oracle, PostgreSQL)
- Familiarity with Agile Methodology
- Excellent communication skills and B2+ level of English proficiency
Nice to have
- Background using JEE and Webservices technologies
- Experience with other API Management solutions (e.g., Kong, WSO2, Apigee)
- Familiarity with other Integration and ESB platforms (e.g., WSO2, ServiceMix, Tibco)
- Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Neo4j)
- Knowledge of Cloud Architectures
