Software Engineer (Python and Java) Description
As a Software Engineer proficient in Python and Java, you will become a member of the rapidly expanding European Investment Management IT team. This position involves working with cutting-edge technologies in a Microservice architecture, utilizing a development stack that encompasses Python, Java, Amazon Web Services (including AWS Analytics), Atlassian toolsets (such as Bamboo and Bitbucket), and Cucumber automated testing. Additionally, this role provides outstanding opportunities to enhance your investment knowledge and skills.
This role offers a hybrid model, with 3 days per week working from the client's office in Gdansk.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software applications using Python (60%-70% focus) and Java (30%-40% focus) within a fast-paced global environment
- Utilize classic data structures and computer algorithms to optimize solutions, applying fundamental mathematical, optimization, and data analysis skills in problem-solving
- Employ Python programming skills in conjunction with data analytical libraries like Pandas and NumPy to manage and analyze data effectively
- Operate autonomously and collaboratively within an Agile framework
Requirements
- Experience in software development in Python and skilled in Java
- Expertise in AWS Lambda and AWS Simple Storage Service
- Comfortable using classic data structures and computer algorithms
- Fundamental mathematical, optimization, and data analysis skills
- Focus on details and maintain critical approach to accuracy, passionate with computer programming
- Ability to work autonomously
- Experience working in Agile
Nice to have
- Experience in any quantitative, mathematical or data analytic projects: e.g. computer simulation, numeric computation, mathematical modelling, data analysis, statistical analysis
- Experience in data analytical libraries, e. g. Pandas, NumPy
- Investment Management knowledge
