Senior PHP Developer Remote

Responsibilities

• Partnership with the development team for the design and implementation of new characteristics for PHP microservices
• Assurance of code quality, scalability, and maintainability of developed features
• Prompt response and troubleshooting of service-related incidents
• Execution of in-depth RCA to pinpoint incident origins and enact preventive measures
• Composition of comprehensive unit tests to verify functionality and robustness of code alterations
• Management and deployment of services using Kubernetes
• Use of Datadog dashboards for monitoring service health and performance
• Maintenance and optimization of SQL databases, including MySQL, CloudSQL, and Spanner
• Implementation and management of infrastructure through the use of Terraform

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a PHP Developer, with a preference for Hack proficiency
• Proven experience in writing unit tests to ensure code quality
• Proficiency in Kubernetes for container orchestration
• Exceptional analytical skills for incident resolution and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• In-depth knowledge of SQL databases, especially MySQL, CloudSQL, and Spanner
• Familiarity with Terraform for infrastructure management
• Experience in cloud development, preferably with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Proficient communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations according to the schedule

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Django framework and Redux for state management
