Lead Security Analyst Description

We are seeking a motivated Lead Security Analyst to oversee our organization's security operations and incident response efforts.

In this role, you will safeguard infrastructure, address threats, and implement strategies to establish a strong security framework. This position offers the chance to collaborate across teams, leverage advanced tools, and play a pivotal role in our cybersecurity approach.

This position offers hybrid setup with the flexibility to work from any location in Lithuania, whether it's your home or our dynamic offices in Vilnius and Kaunas.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze security alerts from SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR solutions, and cloud security frameworks to determine root causes and escalate relevant incidents
  • Provide support in addressing security incidents through containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident analysis
  • Conduct incident response simulations and tabletop exercises to refine plans and practices
  • Collaborate with security and engineering teams to address vulnerabilities within infrastructure and applications
  • Monitor security tools for anomalies, threats, or suspicious activity, escalating issues when necessary
  • Keep informed about emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques to strengthen threat intelligence capabilities
  • Coordinate with the Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) to ensure effective incident handling and review
  • Document security incidents, investigations, procedures, and playbooks comprehensively
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation to enhance security operations
  • Perform root cause analysis on security events, pinpoint weaknesses or vulnerabilities, and recommend preventive measures
  • Develop and improve incident response playbooks to counter top security threats effectively
  • Support compliance with security standards and regulations, such as PCI DSS and ISO 27001
  • Engage in proactive threat detection activities using threat intelligence, security tools, and analytic expertise

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a security analyst, preferably in a dynamic technology environment
  • Extensive knowledge of security monitoring tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, etc.)
  • Proficiency in log analysis, interpretation, and correlation across various systems
  • Background in cloud security concepts, tools, and best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (B2+ level)

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Crowdstrike, Rapid7, Digital Shadows, or native cloud security tools

Salary range €4.5K-€6.4K gross, based on your experience and interview results.
