Chief React Developer Description
We are in search of a skilled and accomplished Lead React Developer to oversee our front-end development group.
Our client manages a successful commerce website that targets both the US and Canadian markets, and they are preparing to branch out into additional international regions. In this role, the chosen candidate will lead the team in reviewing and refining the current architecture, support the site’s launch, and supervise continuous development using React, Contentful, and commerce tools.

Responsibilities
- Guide the front-end team in reviewing and refining the existing system to gear up for launch
- Work in conjunction with the Technical Product Manager, Scrum Master, additional front-end and back-end developers, and testers to organize and execute feature delivery
- Confirm the delivery of premium-quality features promptly to meet client’s roadmap objectives
- Supervise the development activities after launch and employ necessary updates and enhancements
- Collaborate intimately with back-end developers to ensure system coherence and enhance user interaction
- Direct the team in adhering to coding and design best practices for optimal mobile web performance, particularly on iOS / Safari
- Stay informed on industry trends and advancements to integrate them into the development activities
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years’ experience as a front-end developer
- 2+ years of pertinent leadership experience
- Proficiency in React, Contentful, and commerce tools
- Background in Spring Boot
- Understanding of MACH Commerce principles
- Background in mobile web development with an emphasis on iOS / Safari environments
- Possession of a Mac for development and an iOS device for testing
- Leadership experience or documented proficiency in managing or directing a development team
- Ability to work effectively within tight deadlines
- Adaptability to fluctuating priorities and emergent technologies
- Fluent in English with communication skills at a B2+ level
Nice to have
- Expertise in eCommerce retail environments
- Familiarity with both bricks-and-mortar and online retail markets
- Background in international market expansions
