Data Software Engineer – Trainee Description
We are seeking a motivated and aspiring individual to join our team as a Data Software Engineer.
This is an excellent opportunity for IT professionals with 2 to 4 years of experience who are passionate about transitioning into the field of data engineering. As part of this role, you will undergo a comprehensive training program to develop the skills and expertise required to excel as a Data Software Engineer.

Responsibilities
- Develop core data software engineering skills (data pipelines, ETL, programming best practices, Docker, CI/CD, cloud solutions)
- Gain practical proficiency with modern data engineering tools and technologies
- Stay updated on emerging data engineering trends and practices
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in Python & SQL
- Contribute to high-quality, timely software delivery projects
- Resolve data-related issues effectively
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
- 2-4 years of professional experience in software implementation, delivery or related roles
- Proficient in Python programming with strong understanding of basic data structures and strong SQL skills
- Fundamental understanding of at least one Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodology (Waterfall, Agile, etc.)
- Proactive learning mindset with a strong desire to adopt new technologies and methodologies
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, strong self-discipline and ability to work autonomously
Nice to have
- Experience in data warehousing implementation or data-related projects
- Familiarity with data engineering concepts, tools and frameworks (ETL, data pipelines, cloud platforms)
- Exposure to big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
