Senior Java Developer Description
For our Client, one of the largest investment banks in the world, we're looking for a Senior Java Developer. The position includes a hybrid mode of work, with 3 days a week of performing tasks from the Kraków office.
You will join a project that utilizes a Java backend and includes multiple frontends. The project is an operational solution that provides end users with capabilities to manage complete range of client interactions. It supports internal workflows and tracks issues from inception to resolution. The project has regular releases, delivering numerous features to business users.
The platform is hosted on Tomcat and taps into data from various banking systems. It seamlessly integrates with email, CSV data sources, multiple databases, external REST interfaces, and WebServices. For streamlined development and testing, we employ tools like Jira and GitLab.
Responsibilities
- Leading a group of developers in end-to-end software delivery
- Evaluating business needs, architecting, and rolling out solutions within our ticket management infrastructure
- Engaging actively within an agile scrum team and collaborating with IT units globally
- Offering level 3 support, aiding the production operations team in deployment and support tasks
- Transitioning applications to updated technologies
Requirements
- Proficiency in a blend of: Spring, Oracle, Tomcat, and Java is essential
- Strong Java development abilities complemented by excellent design and problem-solving expertise, with the skill to analyze code for performance issues
- Familiarity with contemporary Java and Spring frameworks. Hands-on experience with Hibernate and Oracle RDBMS, inclusive of query and structure optimization
- A track record in designing large-scale enterprise solutions and developing scalable applications
- Proven experience in comprehensive automated testing
- Adeptness across the entire software development lifecycle, from liaising with stakeholders on requirements to launching and maintaining live software
- Prior involvement with Agile practices
- Sharp analytical prowess, adept problem-solving and synthesizing skills (the 'figure-it-out' mindset)
- Familiarity with Azure Cloud is an added advantage
- Willingness to work from the Krakow office for at least 3 days a week
