Senior DevOps Engineer Description

We are searching for a reliable, innovative Senior DevOps engineer with extensive experience in cloud computing, scripting, and a great understanding of the CI/CD principles. The successful candidate is someone who continually sets goals and achieves them, exhibits high accountability levels, and has a strong cross-functional collaboration spirit. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play an integral role in improving our operations environment to ensure optimal performance, including CI/CD, logging, monitoring, and cloud computing. In addition, you would apply innovative problem-solving to automate workflows and maximize the operational efficiency of our software engineering team.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining CI/CD processes for applications and infrastructure with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or an equivalent
  • Implementing industry best practices for system hardening and configuration management
  • Developing and maintaining logging, monitoring and alerting solutions to track system health and security
  • Designing and implementing reliable cloud solutions along with service-oriented architectures
  • Ensuring systems' availability, performance, scalability, and security are up to standard
  • Collaborating with the software development team to ensure software and systems interoperability

Requirements

  • Proven experience with CI/CD and version control tools, logging, and monitoring
  • Demonstrated experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or Bash
  • Hands-on in logging and monitoring tools (any of Prometheus / Grafana / Splunk / ELK / Graylog / NewRelic / AppDynamics / Dynatrace / Datadog / Zabbix or similar)
  • Deep knowledge of cloud platform solutions with proven experience maintaining cloud-based production-grade environments like AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Understanding of networking and security architectures
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • English level of B2 and higher
