Enterprise Data Architect Description

We are seeking an Enterprise Data Architect to spearhead data initiatives.

In this pivotal role, you will define data architecture strategies and drive solutions for our enterprise data warehouse. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to define and document data architecture requirements
  • Define and design solutions for the enterprise data warehouse, integrating data from diverse insurance and reinsurance systems
  • Map Source to Target processes tailored for processing high data volumes
  • Develop logical and physical data models for implementation on Microsoft SQL Server platforms
  • Coordinate closely with the development team to ensure proper implementation of mappings into executable code
  • Outline methodologies for data collection and validation with SQL-based solutions to ensure data quality
  • Create enterprise data models for reporting and guide reporting teams in leveraging the data warehouse efficiently
  • Engage in release planning activities and verify post-deployment system changes
  • Build Microsoft SQL Server views to support reporting and dashboard creation
  • Identify and resolve issues in SQL and Informatica mappings, as well as optimize stored procedures

Requirements

  • 7 years of experience in data architecture and design collaborating with development teams
  • 5 years of domain expertise in insurance and reinsurance industries
  • Background in extracting data from insurance applications
  • Extensive proficiency in data warehousing, ETL, and business intelligence architectures
  • Competency in designing and refining semantic layer reporting views
  • Knowledge of relational database management systems such as Microsoft SQL Server
  • B.S. degree in Computer Information Science, Information Management, or Statistics
  • Proficiency in interpersonal communication, both written and verbal
  • Collaboration skills for effective teamwork
  • Strong organizational acumen and analytical mindset

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of Guidewire Policy Center and Guidewire Claims Center
  • Familiarity with SAP Financial Services Collections and Disbursements and SAP Financial Accounting General Ledger applications
