Cloud Engineering Team Lead Remote

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the existing team lead to manage the development and migration of the client’s platform from AWS to Azure Cloud, ensuring seamless integration and system functionality
• Refactor existing Terraform code and implement containerization strategies using Kubernetes and Docker for deploying APIs efficiently
• Oversee the transition of the CI pipeline from Jenkins to DxOne CI, ensuring that the new environment supports continuous integration effectively
• Assume full responsibility for specific project scopes, making crucial technical decisions and ensuring alignment with overall project objectives
• Act as the primary point of communication with the customer, maintaining transparency and addressing any concerns throughout the project lifecycle
• Prepare to lead both the technical and people management aspects of a new team that will be established within 1-2 months, guiding them in working parallel with the existing team to meet shared objectives

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant professional experience
• 1+ year of relevant leadership experience
• Demonstrated expertise in deploying and managing scalable solutions using Azure cloud services
• In-depth knowledge of advanced networking concepts including VNets, NSGs, and Application Gateway
• Proven ability to utilize Azure Service Bus for robust messaging solutions
• Experience in configuring and maintaining PostgreSQL Flexible Servers for optimal performance
• Strong background in API management with a focus on designing, securing, and monitoring APIs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Entra ID, including managed identities, app registrations, and Azure RBAC
• Advanced experience in deploying and managing containerized applications using Kubernetes
• Expertise in using Terraform for infrastructure automation and configuration management
• Intermediate proficiency in Gitlab for version control and continuous integration
• B2+ English level proficiency

Nice to have

• Knowledge of AWS cloud services at an intermediate level
• Familiarity with code quality and security tools like SonarQube and Blackduck
