Collibra Technical Product Owner Description

We are seeking a Collibra Technical Product Owner to facilitate Collibra adoption within Commercial unit for several countries. Project brings an industry standard metadata management tool which can perform all the standard and custom functionality at an enterprise level for our client.

As a Collibra Technical Product Owner you will be responsible for datasets analysis and metadata mapping in Collibra Platform and leading the team of several Data Stewards. The role requires a strong understanding of metadata management and strong experience with Collibra. You will be working closely with the senior customer stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Check tech metadata availability and completeness in existing Snowflake metadata ingestion in Collibra
  • Move relevant business metadata to the community
  • Verify migrated business metadata for relevant scope, and define data lineage needs and requirements for 3 countries and 7 data sources
  • Define scope for additional required business metadata
  • Identify Business SMEs to collaborate with
  • Determine candidates for country-level data stewards and facilitate their training
  • Collaborate with local business SMEs and add missing business metadata to Collibra
  • Enable and lead the team of country-level Data Stewards
  • Collaborate with Data Catalog team on technical data lineage requirements
  • Liaise with customers and stakeholders to understand requirements
  • Analyze and import business metadata in Collibra, manually map if necessary
  • Create Business Lineage in Collibra
  • Analyze existing Data Quality rules and create them in Collibra
  • Analyze and apply existing data classifications in Collibra
  • Support Business Glossary creation and mapping to technical metadata

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with industry leading data governance, data cataloging, data management, metadata management software/tools/platforms (Collibra preferred, Alation, Informatica)
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, metadata management or a related field
  • Team Leadership track record
  • Some data governance background with knowledge of metadata management and data quality management
  • Working knowledge of databases and database structures to enable articulating data concepts between business-focused, functional, and technical data users
  • Experience with data structures, ontologies, and data dictionaries
  • English proficiency level of B2+
