Infrastructure Engineer (Datadog) Description
We are looking for a skilled Datadog Specialist to join our team as an Infrastructure Engineer.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering and be proficient in Datadog, playing a crucial role in defining and implementing our observability strategy, deploying Datadog configurations, and creating dashboards and alerts.

Responsibilities
- Define the scope of observability initiatives by gathering requirements, objectives, ingestion volumes, retention policies, KPIs, and SLIs
- Develop and implement a comprehensive observability strategy, including tagging, integration with the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), and budget considerations
- Design the telemetry flow using OpenTelemetry to ensure efficient data collection and analysis
- Deploy OpenTelemetry collectors and Datadog agents, integrating them effectively and automating processes with configuration management tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to observability best practices
- Monitor and optimize the performance of observability tools, particularly Datadog, to align with organizational needs
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in designing and defining observability strategies and architectures
- Proficiency in Datadog and other observability tools
- Strong background in systems engineering and DevOps practices
- Solid knowledge of cloud technologies including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud
- Proficiency in using configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
- Experience with OpenTelemetry for data collection and analysis
- Capability to collaborate effectively across various teams
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
