Do you have a software engineering background and strong knowledge in Android? Are you an open-minded professional with good English skills? If it sounds like you, this could be the perfect opportunity to join EPAM as a Lead Android Developer.
Our teams work in highly agile working environments for Fortune 1000 clients, following XP practices and best CI/CD practices. We are looking for a Lead Android Developer with open-minded personality, who can join our friendly environment and become a core contributor to our team of experts.

Responsibilities
- Lead and develop Android applications
- Collaborate with team members to produce high-quality code
- Write clean, structured, and well-documented code
- Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and best practices are followed
- Perform testing and debugging of the code
- Communicate progress and roadblocks to the team
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in developing Android applications
- Experience in leading a team and being the spokesperson for the Android team
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin
- Ability not just to read, but to develop inside legacy Android mobile Java code base, as well as build new features with modern tech stack based on Kotlin and handle the interoperability between them
- Deep knowledge of Android UI capabilities, including Android XML layouts, Jetpack Compose, Android UI binding to build responsive and complex layouts
- Experience with Android SDK, Android Studio, Gradle, and Git
- Experience with agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to lead a team and work in a team and independently with minimal supervision
- Strong English communication skills
