Site Reliability Engineer Description

We are seeking a seasoned Site Reliability Engineer to join our team of professionals dedicated to ensuring the reliability, performance, and efficiency of our infrastructure systems.

This role is suited for someone with comprehensive experience in DevOps practices, non-relational databases, and cloud infrastructure services.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and manage automated solutions to improve system reliability and scalability
  • Maintain and administer Linux-based systems
  • Administer AWS cloud services including EC2, VPC, RDS, Redis, Route 53, Secret Manager, System Manager, and S3
  • Work with automation tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, GitLab Pipelines, and Ansible
  • Employ scripting languages including Bash and Python for operational tasks
  • Maintain and manage version control systems such as GitLab and GitHub
  • Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and CloudFormation
  • Collaborate with development teams to understand and support the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Manage multiple environment setups including development, staging, and production
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker
  • Utilize monitoring tools such as Datadog, Grafana, and New Relic to ensure visibility and proactive response to system abnormalities
  • Optimize deployment strategies including A/B testing, blue/green deployments, and canary releases
  • Utilize task and knowledge management tools such as Jira and Confluence to streamline collaboration and documentation

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of related work experience in a DevOps or SRE role
  • Proficiency in Linux administration
  • Extensive practical experience with AWS services
  • Expertise in automation tools and IaC solutions
  • Background in scripting languages Bash and Python
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
  • Competency in managing version control systems
  • Knowledge of Docker for container management
  • Understanding three years of experience with non-relational databases such as Cassandra, MongoDB, and DynamoDB
  • Experience in monitoring system performance using tools like Datadog, Grafana, and New Relic
  • Flexibility to work with diverse deployment strategies
  • Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level
