Radio Frequency Electrical Engineer San Jose, CA, USA

Responsibilities

• Radio Frequency Engineers should have a broad-based knowledge in Radio Frequency architecture, design, integration and manufacturing. They have deep theoretical and practical knowledge in one or more areas of electromagnetic theory, Radio Frequency and Wireless circuit design, communication theory, and product design trade-off. They use electromagnetic and system simulation, hands on prototyping, test and measurement to understand complex system and sub-system interactions, implications to product level design, and manufacturing trade-offs to enable mass production
• Help the team coordinate and execute Radio Frequency (RF) characterizations & test plans, automate test system which includes usual Radio Frequency equipment (but not limited to) i.e. signal generator, spectrum analyzer, power amplifier
• Electro Magnetic & Radio Frequency circuit simulation is expected in this role to analyze characterization platform
• Perform Radio Frequency parametric data collection and gather Antenna measurements

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering / Higher, or equivalent education. Coursework or experience in antenna/Radio Frequency design, wireless communications, Electro Magnetic, or circuits
• Knowledge of EM or RF hardware or antenna design
• Knowledge of integration of wireless technologies such as cellular, GPS, Wifi, and NFC into products
• Knowledge of electromagnetic / circuit simulation tools (HFSS / CST / ADS / Cadence)
• Hands-on experience with RF lab instrumentation
• Experience in Developing automation framework for running automated tests
• C/C++, Python and shell code development
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Able to work onsite in either the San Jose, CA or Austin, TX
