Responsibilities
- Contribute to end-to-end quality assurance, manage the testing request backlog, and complete testing requests
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders in Design, Product Management, and Engineering to facilitate testing efforts
- Work with the Testing Lead to ensure timely, precise, and aligned completion of testing requests
- Act as a thought leader in accessibility testing, making data-driven recommendations and influencing decisions
- Mentor other accessibility testers and contribute to the creation of test plans, scripts, and documentation
- Partner with the Accessibility Test Lead to develop and execute training plans for the testing team
- Perform quality audits and identify opportunities to minimize errors
- Demonstrate proficiency in complex products and operate independently
- Lead by example to foster a positive, collaborative, and innovative team environment
- Stay updated on evolving accessibility standards and industry trends
- Continuously develop skills and knowledge in accessibility testing
Requirements
- Experience in software development, web development, or a related field
- Experience in an accessibility-related field
- Understanding of WCAG 2.1 (AA) guidelines
- Expert-level understanding of assistive technologies, accessibility-related software (e.g., JAWS, NVDA), and automated testing tools
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar tools for logging and tracking bugs
- Proven success in facilitating testing efforts across multi-disciplinary teams
- Demonstrated ability to create test plans and scripts
- Ability to influence and define processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience interfacing with high-level stakeholders
